+Waterboy
We would like to find caches that would normally include an overnight stay. Can anyone make recommendations? We are particularly interested in those caches in the northeastern corner of the US and southeastern Canada, but would be interested in overnight caches anywhere. We have already found Arrgg! Refugee Cove in Nova Scotia. . We know of Our Apollettgies , also in Nova Scotia, and It is High, It is Far, It is Orange in Vermont. We are now preparing for overnights in the warmer weather. +briansnat
I've thought about placing a cache that could include an overnight trip. The logical place in the NY/NJ metro area would be the Catskills, but from what I hear, the rangers there actively seek out and remove geocaches, despite any policy that prohibits them, so I haven't bothered. There is this cache in Vt that could require an overnight stay, if you take your time. EDITED: Ooops, re read your post and I see you are already aware of the Vt cache I mentioned. +Breaktrack
Give this one a try.... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=34004 Go out on Saturday, tent camp that night, and come back on Sunday... works for us. +Dekaner
I'm planning some event overnights in New York this spring. It would be an event cache, but we'd have to limit the number of people doing it to small numbers (10 people?) as to not overload the trails. The scenerio would be to place a number of micros that would lead you along the trails ahead of time. I plan to run the same event cache every Saturday/Sunday in a month so more people can get involved. Once the events are run, I'd leave the micros out for other people to try on their own. You can contact me at dekaner@kkf2a.com for more information or if you want to help set one up (hint hint)!! - Dekaner of Team KKF2A Quote Link to comment
