+Renegade Knight
It seems the #1 thing that geocachers start to collect is signature items. It's pretty easy to figure out what the local caches leave as signature items. However once you are outside your turf this gets harder. Someone should make a site that keeps track of Signature items. Something that might show a photo of the item and say when it was used since people change items they leave as a signature item every so often. Quote Link to comment
+woodsters
sounds like an idea. The only thing is that when you go and open a cache, you have no idea what is a signature item necessarily. I suggest marking htem as such if they aren't marked like a geocoin, token or card. A group around here leaves slinkys (Team Slinky), but I know that. Some people coming through may not realize that. I would suggest they print out some address labels that has their team name on it or something saying it's a signature item. You never know where the sport will end up. Someones collection of others signature items may be worth something one day. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com Quote Link to comment

+bigredmed
I wonder if it would be possible to add a photo database to our User profiles that would allow us to display our current signature items? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nebraskache/ Quote Link to comment

We have done that with HTML on our public profile. Unless there is a signature item in a cache, I almost never trade. I really enjoy other's sig items and keep them when I come across them. Northern-Lights
I don't look at anyones public profile before I go caching.. I like the idea of marking signature items. In fact....we are in the process of marking ours as I type this. I've been putting one of our team cards with them.....but now won't have to. If God is your co-pilot, it's time to change seats!!! FISUR
As Stunod pointed out, check out the Geo-Creations and Geocoin Designs Sections of our home page. We are always looking for new items to add. Today we included a link to PuzzleBug's Signature Puzzles and Signature Item Collection. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Team FISUR Rhode Island Geocaching Quote Link to comment
