jbwcpa
Ebay announced this morning that they will be acquiring Paypal. What does this mean exactly? I'm not sure but here is ebay's explanation. paypal acquisition Quote Link to comment
+culpc
I would guess that it means another revenue conduit for e-Bay. PayPAl is the major source of payments on e-Bay, so it probably won't change anything as an e-Bay user. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son! Quote Link to comment

+ApK
It means that PayPal won't even have the little bit of competition from Billpoint (which eBay is shutting down) so there will be even less encouragement to keep customer service high and fees low. This will not be good for users in the long run. quote:Originally posted by jbwcpa: Ebay announced this morning that they will be acquiring Paypal. What does this mean exactly? +Acc-Risk and Snarflax
There's an alternative to PayPal called C2it... it's run by Citibank, it's cheap, and it's FDIC insured (PayPal is not) If you've had as many problems with PayPal as I have, you might look into it...
