+BooBooBee Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Today's the first day of the year. After my cachin' for the day (8 caches) I thought I'd look at my "Yearly Breakdown" stat for the "Find Rate" which should have been my highest ever at 8. Right? One day, 8 caches, find rate 8 caches/day. But....what I found at 5:15 p.m. was a stat board that read 9 finds and a rate of 4.5 caches/day. Even if you're running the clock on Greenwich Mean rather than local time, I didn't have 9 finds, only 8, so that would be 4 caches/day. Now I wonder if any of these stats are real. Can anyone provide a viable explanation? 1 1 Quote
Moun10Bike Posted January 2 Posted January 2 You are looking at “Found it” logs only in your screenshot. You also have an “Attended” log posted today, making for a total of 9 finds. 2 Quote
+BooBooBee Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 Thanks, @Moun10Bike. Can you also explain the 4.5/day on Day One of the New Year? With the addition of the "Attended" that's 9 on Jan 1, but at 5:15 p.m. Pacific, GC.com had me at 4.5/day find rate which makes me think they use a different clock. Quote
Moun10Bike Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Stats are calculated based on UTC, so the system saw the current date as January 2 when yours generated. Hence, 2 days into the new year. Quote
+BooBooBee Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 There ya go. That's what I was kind of figuring, but I wanted a definitive answer. Not sure I'll ever show an 9/day average again. Was hopin' to catch it on screen. (Not that it matters. It's all fun and games.) Thanks for sharing your lackey prowess! Quote
