+Grümscheler Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Background to the question: - I often take a photo of special caches as a reminder. I don't want to add them to the log (risk of spoilers). I currently have them on my Macbook. However, the administrative effort is not to be underestimated. Download the photo from my mobile phone to my Macbook and note in the notes that I have additional photos. - With Mysterys, you could add a photo of the puzzle code to the notes. - It might be interesting if you could add a link to your own Dropbox/Cloud to the notes. Then the server memory at GS would not be burdened by additional photos. Translated with DeepL.com (free version) Quote

+Max and 99 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 I would love to be able to add a photo to my personal note on a cache page. A solution checker that provides a hint, a solved jiggidy puzzle, a photo that would remind me exactly where I hid something, etc. Quote
+Viajero Perdido Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Dream on. There's a way right now, but it's a bit fussy. Create a never-to-be-published cache listing, coordinates at Null Island (N0 W0, likely outside any reviewer territory), and create a bunch of reviewer notes. Each can have a limited number of images (20? 40?). Upload your image to those notes, where nobody but you or a reviewer (if any) can see them. Grab the image URL, and paste that into the Note of the cache that it's actually associated with. Never submit that listing. I believe you can archive it, keeping it even more out of reviewers' view, but can still add images to any existing reviewer notes, and they will still be available via their URL elsewhere. 1 Quote
