Xixau & Shenzi
Should off-set caches be marked as Multi-Caches? I was under the impression that the 'Cache Types' page indicated that they should, but it seems that some of them are not marked as such. What do people think? The reason this came to light for us, was that we had a last minute opportunity to going off caching on Saturday. Unfortunately we did not have the chance to print off all the paperwork, so we deliberately avoided Multi's. However after a difficult drive and walk to one location, we found the exact spot, but no way that there could be a cache there. Reading the Site this morning revealed it as an Offset? Opening this up to opinions? Regards Jerry. Quote Link to comment
+Flackadder
Should of read the cache page first!!! 'More haste less speed', or something like that. Bob.... http://www.bobh.co.uk 'Life, it's a game with one serious bit - geocaching!' Quote Link to comment
+stu_and_sarah
Yeah... we've done that before, although we take the printouts with us. But we were on a mission to get several caches in a day, so avoided multis. It turned out one was an offset. Luckily it was only a few hundred feet from the location, but if it had been further we wouldn't have been happy! An offset is the same as a multi with a virtual stage, is it not? Therefore it's multi. Cheers, Stu Quote Link to comment
+Subarite
Yes, off-set caches should be marked as multi's even though some aren't. I have been caught out. Just read the cache page. LazyLeopard
Can get kinda confusing when a cache fits into more than one category. Anyone for a multi-virtual-webcam-event cache gd&r Quote Link to comment
