+THE BRAMBLERS
I left a travel bug at a location today and when I went to log it on-line I found that someone had already taken it and logged it before me. Now it has gone from my cache page and I cannot add my log. As it had come such a long way (from Colorado), I really wanted to add my note. Is there any thing I can do? I did wonder about e-mailing the last people to get the id number, but I wasn't sure if that would be OK. Any suggestions? Debbie Quote Link to comment
+Bill D (wwh)
There's a thread here that may help. It seems the thing to do is to email the other people. But if they're not co-operative you can simply grab the bug again from its own page, as long as you've still got its number. The downside is that this can mess up its mileage. +THE BRAMBLERS
Thanks for the reply and the link; at least I know it has happened before. I'm afraid I didn't think to write the number down and I certainly didn't expect someone to take it and log it so quickly, especially as it was a two mile walk to the cache! I think I will e-mail the last people and see if they can help. Thanks again Debbie Quote Link to comment
+Postie
Yes been there done that!! I had to e-mail the person that had owned the travel bug to get them to put a log on the page, 'cos I didn't have the number!! I always make a note of the number now.
