Unable to complete Adventure Lab

Recommended Posts

I have on AL where no internet is available, this is my guidance to the geocacher:

Important: Please read the entire description (continue reading)

Welcome to the Arctic island of Svalbard also known as Spitsbergen, a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. This Adventure LAB is located in Ny-Ålesund where no Internet is available; all cell phones must be set to “Flight Mode” prior to arrival. A 20 km radius around Ny-Ålesund is defined as a radio silent area. T

To play this Adventure LAB: Open the AL app on your smart phone and open the AL “79° North” while you still have access to the Internet. Press “Start” and you can see the 5 locations. Leave the app open; turn your phone to flight mode. At Ny-Ålesund visit the locations, just navigate using the Al map. Locations are really easy to find along the main road. As soon as you are within the zone, you can read the question, but do not try to answer the questions. Just take notes or take a picture, continue to the next location. Once you have Internet again, open the AL app, open “79° North” and answer the questions.

This works only on Non-Sequential ALs

There are some others around with no internet availability:

Note these only work if the phone doesn't decide to quit the app… as often happens when taking photos

Never happened to me.

If you are there, you are not there just by your own, so why not asking someone with you to take the photos.

Too easy?

Alternative:  just open an editor and write down the answers.

Alternative:  Use 2 apps at a time with split screen. Open an app. From the bottom of your screen, swipe up, hold, then let go. Tap the app's icon. Tap Split screen.

Now, just to find time to go back there and try it

If you have been there within the geofence, you don't need to go back, you can now enter the answers from any place.  The AL app will remember that you have been there before.

Well, there we are.  The app has no bugs.  Where would we be without you?

And somehow you are magically able to tell that, despite crashing, the app saved the status of all the stages.  I mean, it might be true, but you seem so sure. Is this some kind of software psychic ability?

How about reading the post above?  Sometimes it does really help.

.. and, it never happened to me while playing an AL and taking pictures at the same time.

If you are aware that this does not work for you, I did provide some alternatives.

I tried an Adventure Lab in an area where I had no internet connection. It wouldn't let me enter the answers for the completion of the lab. Is there a way to enter the answers later when I get internet capabilities?

Me too. Without internet connection is solving Adventure LAB "Mission impossible". Tom Cruise doesn't help too 😜😂
