Text in Waymarks

I have noticed that many Waymarks are now just an exact copy of another public description. Apparently it is not forbidden to completely copy other people's descriptions, but it seems a bit strange to me. I could understand if it was individual sentences that were quoted, but whole descriptions??
Is it just me who is a bit old-fashioned?  After all, I get the same information if I read a tourist brochure. B)

But at the same time it will be much easier for me to find an English text and copy it all. I always doubt whether I have translated into English fairly correctly.
