I like them too (even though we only have one in Denmark and it's only 3-4 meters high :-) ) That's why I also want to be an officer in the category
-
I just saw the description of the category. I think it's well written...however, I can foresee the officers getting a lot of work sorting out bat boxes, bird houses, squirrel boxes and geocaches :-) By the way, it is a good idea to have instructions for a homemade bat box

Thanks for your reply ...I'll have to see if I can fix it somehow.

When I have written in a waymark and want to send it for approval, I now discover every time that at the very end of the text there is a ?..... this ? can be deleted and I do, but where does it come from? Does anyone else experience this little moment of irritation.... (is it because my computer does not understand my English language, which in many cases is probably Engrish)

1500 consecutive days with posts
Walking Boots replied to pmaupin's topic in General Waymarking Topics
Impressive, that's a long time -
I have noticed that many Waymarks are now just an exact copy of another public description. Apparently it is not forbidden to completely copy other people's descriptions, but it seems a bit strange to me. I could understand if it was individual sentences that were quoted, but whole descriptions?? Is it just me who is a bit old-fashioned? After all, I get the same information if I read a tourist brochure. But at the same time it will be much easier for me to find an English text and copy it all. I always doubt whether I have translated into English fairly correctly.

City Names in Giant Letters (again)
Walking Boots replied to BeayPepe's topic in Recruiting and Category Proposals
First I have to say that I really don't like the method where you get your geocache friends to vote... The category..well.. several city names were produced years ago... but isn't it a dead trend. .. When was the newest "City name in giant letters" produced? -
"The cultural heritage must be registered in some official database or document collection that also should be available for anyone (so that you can provide the web link to the required variable)." Has any cultural heritage register been found for the Faroe Islands? I have only found a map of listed buildings but no information. And it has been impossible to find a database or official articles on the total cultural heritage, such as excavated Viking settlements... https://www.tjodsavnid.fo/bygningadeild

Are you part of that group?

Happy New Year to all Waymarkers :-) Unfortunately, we have been infected with Corona Virus, so New Year's Eve takes place in front of the television -
New Category Icons

I like nummer 2, but the color in nummer 3 :-) -
I think it's because it's logged in with the new Waymarkly App. It makes just this mistake. And I suppose you have not received an email that your waymark has been logged either.

In Denmark and Sweden we have Fodbold-golf . Football Golf is a mix between golf, football and mini golf.
