Hoping to do GC1169, Mission 9: Tunnel of Light A.P.E. Project cache this summer

Going to visit my sister & brother-in-law in Washougal this summer, and trying to plan my visit to take in Seattle Headquarters and Mission 9. 
 

Don’t want to walk the tunnel by myself and wondering if there were any events or groups planning the hike this summer?

 

Also, just saw a YouTube video of cachers using bicycles to get there.  That a reasonable option?

Darn, renting a bike may not be a solution. My wife’s Volvo doesn’t have a towing receiver to attach a bike rack.

Thule and other companies make bike racks that use flat hooks to attach to trunks. 
 

Or consider renting an SUV or pick up truck for a day or two.

If you don't like walking the boring tunnel you can go to the parking lot next to I90 at the end of Asahel Curtis road and start of Annette Lake Trail. Just check that the Trail isn't closed for maintenance which it was when I logged the Ape cache. You shorten the walk by 1 - 2 miles.

when i did it in November a few years ago  - i read the cache page and followed the - The Annette Lake Trail

Would like to add that I really liked the Annette Lake Trail, so although it may be a plan B, you'll probably enjoy it.
