Is there a way to add language accents (or diacritical marks)?

How do I add French language accents to the lab cache text?  I'm able to add the accents in Microsoft Word but when I copy and paste the text into the lab cache, the accents disappear.  I noticed that accents don't show even when the language of the Lab is switched to French.

In the place you're trying to paste, are you able to manually type accented characters?  (I'm not suggesting you manually type the entire thing; this is just a test.)

Where are you trying to paste it?  I’ve pasted all sorts of Unicode characters into the website builder and it’s been fine with them.
