Friend requests through the Message feature

Don't you think it would be better, and promote bonding between geocachers, if a friend request could be sent as part of a communication through the Message Center, rather than the present requirement to be separately set via email?

I don't think a change is necessary. I get enough random friend requests from new cachers when they find (or don't) one of my caches. If it were available in the message centre, I could see the number of requests drastically increasing.

I'd be fine with adding the ability to request friends through the message center. I don't think it's a high priority feature request, but it'd be nice to have.

Meanwhile, there might be a slight possibility that the name "El Fartero" is what's cutting the cheese your chances for friendship.

That could not happen if you are aloud to disable it in the confirmations.
