+Insp Gadget
Can someone suggest a GPS unit for someone who uses it every day and frequently for Geocaching? Quote Link to comment
+GroundClutter
I have a Garmin Legend. I really like it. My suggestion is to go to GPS Central and look at their comparison feature. It will show you the different GPS models they carry, the features of each, and the prices. BTW, if you act fast, there is a $50 US rebate on the Legend. Step away from the tupperware! +Olar
Normally I would highly recommend the Garmin GPS V however the City Select maps that come with it do not cover the Eastern Provinces. Garmin's cartography department hasn't discovered that part of Canada yet. Unless you travel extensively to the U.S. or the rest of Canada then the autorouting feature that the V is famous for would be useless and a waste of money. +Hard Oiler
I've been very pleased with the Meridian Gold with Mapsend S&D Canada. I visit Northern NB regularly and it appears to have good road coverage although for some inexplicable reason the St John River stops just west of Fredricton. It's all there on the base map but disappears on the detail map. And Magellan is not alone - MS S&T 2003 has the same problem. Quote Link to comment
