Best Stage in the GHMCMC Series of Caches (Southern Ontario)

Howdy all. I thought I'd start a poll to see what the favourite stop was on the 15 stage GHMCMC series of caches. I tried to do it as a poll but it only allows 5 choices. So much for secret ballot! I'll go first.

My favourite was Devil's Punchbowl. This was an interesting find, probably due to doing in in darkness and taking the short cut back to the car (not recommend for faint of heart!).

I'll have to agree with you C-A... The Devil's Punchbowl was quite the adventure! I'm just glad we switched the flashlights on when we did, otherwise I may have taken a real "short-cut" down to the cache!

I will have to say that my favourite was #10-End of the Road.

 

This may have been because of the mistakes we made along the way.

 

But if this question wasn't favourite then the following would hold true.....

 

Best challenge.....#4 - Devil's Punchbowl

 

Most frustrating...#7 - Dam that's Big! (two attempts, still needed help)

 

Best scenery.......#13 - Throe Caution to the Wind

 

But I dunno if it was because it was the last of the 14, the view of the lake, the surprise that it was in Toronto, but #10 thrilled me to no end.

Our favorite was definately #4 Devils Punchbowl. We entered the side trail from the bottom for a very short hike. Had some trouble finding it as signal was wonky, but it was a really neat area and finally found it with a flashlight as it was just about getting dark.

 

I would say that the final was a close 2nd...

 

#10 End of the road was fun, as my son took his remote control car all the way down and up...we took the old road.

 

13 Evergreen Tunnels was the hardest and took the longest to find, but still enjoyable...and spooky walking back to the car in the dark.

The final stage? Come to think of it, it was rather scenic. Not sure if you heard but Tomtec and I had a mission to get to the final in one day. We did it, except for one small problem. We couldn't find the cache itself! This fact alone puts the Final well down *my* list of favourites. Haha! Not sure where it would've ranked had we found it on the first attempt, but probably much nearer the top. Next time we'll have to bring much larger flashlights and perhaps some bloodhounds.
