How to find multis using a cell phone?

This may sound like a astonishingly stupid question but I really don't know the answer. I have been using a Garmin ever since I started playing the game and have always solved puzzle caches at home on the computer and updated the coordinates. When solving multis I take out a pencil and paper and figure out the coordinates in the field. I don't even own a cell phone, but have sometimes borrowed my wife's. From what I have seen, cell phones don't list coordinates, so how can I solve multis in the field using a cell phone?

Sure they do. The owner has a choice of showing the stages or not. Some of them you have to figure out in the field and some of them you know the coordinates ahead of time. I'll see if I can find some examples to share with you.

Here's an example where the cache owner gives you the coordinates of each stage you just have to click on the waypoint to see them. Others you just have to solve them in the field.

As Max and 99 said, the free Official Geocaching App works with coordinates.  Not only can you enter coords, your current GPS position is shown in real-time on the compass page.

But I have an Indiana Jones style notebook where I work on cache puzzles.  So like you, I usually write them down.  But there are even some third-party Apps that make it easier to solve for the next waypoint.
