Mama the Llama
Even when we have set everything we can think of to "Geocaching" or "Hiking", when we try to go to a geocache, this unit always tries to route us on roads. We generally geocache on trails. Is there some setting we've missed? Quote Link to comment
+mty55
Go to setup.> Routing> set lock on road to No. Quote Link to comment
Mama the Llama
It is set to "No" already, but it looks like there, "Activity" was set to "Direct Routing". What is that? I changed it to "Hiking", but I'll have to wait until we go out again to see if that worked. Quote Link to comment

I'm assuming your 66st uses the same interface as my 750t My settings are ACTIVITY: direct routing. ROUTE TRANSITION : Auto. LOCK ON ROAD: No. Just a thought, if your going to a geocache you might be confusing the Topo maps for road routing. Hit go to the cache, then bring up the compass and that should give you your direct routing to the cache. Edited February 16, 2021 by mty55 Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
Set it to "Direct Routing." Any of the other options are meant to determine routes based on routable roads and trails. Quote Link to comment
