Solved: Bug: Search Map - "Description & Hint" is missing

Recommended Posts

For cache GC797P4, "Description & Hint" is missing on detail screen of Search Map.

You can use this link to reproduce the bug.

Firefox 72.0.2 (64-Bit); Win 10

That is odd. I was expecting that the description might have some unclosed HTML tags or something, but the description is just a few lines of plain text, and nothing has been entered for a hint.

Database gremlins I guess.

The issue here was that this cache had no content in the long description field; it was all in the short description field. I've moved the content from the former to the latter and now the problem for this cache has been fixed.

The short description field has been deprecated except for events (where it is automatically filled with the event time) and I thought that cases like this had all been accounted for.

Thank you for the explanation. In hindsight, I'm surprised we didn't notice that.

Great, thanks!
