+cptnmrvl & crew
I uld like to know why I don't get notifications on my TB's? From what I read, I should be getting notifications on the ones I own. I have a number out there including one that I placed 8/26/2014 and never got a notification even though it has traveled 71,132 miles! Can someone explain? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
It may be too simple of an explanation, but have you confirmed that your correct email is in your account settings? Are you getting other emails from Geocaching.com (e.g. logs on your owned caches)? Have you checked your Spam folder to see if notification emails are going there? +TriciaG
In addition to what is said above: You won't get notification for "visit" logs, only Dropped, Retrieved, and Discovered. So if someone has held onto your TB for the past 3.5 years and has only "visited" caches with it, you won't get any notifications. 2 Quote Link to comment
+cptnmrvl & crew
I get emails for all my hides and caches on my watch list. My email is correct and I've checked my spam folder. The TB I spoke of has been retrieved, dropped, and discovered a number of times. I checked the log. Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
Seems like you've covered all the bases. The TB with 71,132 miles (rubber duck, 50 state) would've had the last email notification when it was retrieved in May 2015. All logs and miles since then have been Visit ("took it to") logs, which would not generate emails. If I'm looking at the wrong TB and/or there are other TB's with retrieve/drop/discover logs that you should be seeing emails for, then you might have some success by contacting Groundspeak via the Help Center form and asking them to look into it. If the logs were recent, then maybe Monday's server outage might've caused a disruption in emails. 1 Quote Link to comment
