+on4bam
Have you read any info on the geocaching website? You can't open a geocache listing on this "page" as this is a forum but you might try here to find answers to your questions. 1 Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
You can also get the basics of how this hobby is played from Geocaching 101. Quote Link to comment
+NanCycle
After you have read through the info in the two links provided, you will probably have some more specific questions. Then would be a good time to come back here for some specific answers. Quote Link to comment

For most geocaches, there are no questions that you need to solve. You just go to the specified GPS coordinates, find the hidden container, sign the log, replace the container, and post an online Find log. Most of the ones that do have questions that you need to solve will put the questions on the cache page. For example, EarthCaches have no container to find. Instead, to do an EarthCache, you must visit the location and send the owner answers to questions about the location's geology. Those questions will be on the cache page. As another example, many multi-caches have you visit one or more locations to collect information, and the information you collect is used to determine the final location of the geocache. But the questions you need to answer for those should also be on the cache page. The trickiest are certain puzzle caches, where you have to solve the puzzle to determine where the geocache is located, and part of that particular puzzle is figuring out what the puzzle is. But those are relatively rare, and most puzzle caches aren't even like that. Edited September 21, 2017 by niraD 1 Quote Link to comment
