+colleda
We'll be visiting China in a few weeks. I'd like to do a PQ so that I can have all the caches in China , with the exception of Hong Kong, loaded on our Garmins before we leave. Can anyone suggest a simple way to do this. (I use GSAK). +HHL
Creating a PQ has to be done with Groundspeak's PQ Page. Hit the button: "Create a new Query" > Select "Within" > radio button "Countries" > check "China" You can't create a Groundspeak PQ with GSAK. Hans Edited July 11, 2017 by HHL Quote Link to comment
+HHL
You can do an Api call in GSAK to get all China caches without creating a PQ. GSAK > Menu > Geocaching.com access > Get Geocaches ... > Hit radio button Country/State > Choose China on this window's page 2 Hans Quote Link to comment

I have already done what you descibed and from my (poor) memory there are about 2000 something caches and PQ limit is 1000. I'll try the Api call you illustrated. This (api) is new and foreign to me. +HHL
[...]. How do I place the result in a seperate GSAK database to the one I already have? Create a new database Menu > Database > New > Give it a living name Whilst having this database selected > Run the "Get Geocaches" command Re: PQs limits You may split the PQs by date. That way the 1000 limit is no issue. PQ Date Split How To China Split Dates for PQ Hong Kong Split Dates for PQ But actually the Api way seems the way to go. ;-) Happy Cruising Hans Edited July 11, 2017 by HHL Quote Link to comment
