Captain Jack17
Hi. I have a Garmin Etrex 10 and I have some problems with it, that I have had before. The problem is that I can't download any geocaches to my unit because it says that I have low memory. Ok, no problem, I'll just go and reset my unit so everything is clear. I reset everything in the GPS but eveytime that I try to download caches, it says I still have low memory. I had this issue before when Garmin had to send me a new GPS. Not sure what to do as it maybe me or the GPS unit. Please let me know what to to do to make it better. Quote Link to comment
+StefandD
Reset doesn't clear memory, it just clears user setting. Check the folder <eTrex>\Garmin\GPX\. Delete all GPX files you don't want to keep. Alternatively, if you have Basecamp installed on your computer, start BaseCamp with you eTrex connected and delete everything you don't want to keep. +GeoTrekker26
If you are using a Mac, you need to be sure you empty the trash while the GPS is connected to the Mac. With Macs, deleting files only hides them, the space isn't recovered until the trash is emptied. Quote Link to comment
+Wadcutter
Many years ago had that problem with an old style Etrex 10. Contacted Garmin and they told me how to do a hard reset. Forget how now. Do a websearch and you can probably find a how-to. Quote Link to comment
