Project-GC challenge checker banner

I recently submitted some Challenge caches, and the Volunteer Reviewer encouraged me to use the Project-GC challenge checker banner instead of a simple URL link, since the banner would be more noticeable to listing page readers.

Groundspeak's challenge checker guidelines notes that only the "official Project-GC banner" can be used, but it doesn't offer any links to where one can get this banner (and how it should be used). The guidelines page does have link to Project-GC's Challenge Checkers page and to Project-GC's FAQs page, but neither of those mention the challenge checker banner. I searched for "banner" on Project-GC's Challenge Checker Development forum and got nothing. I Googled "Project-GC challenge checker banner" and got nothing helpful.

Eventually, I searched for a recently published Challenge cache that included a Project-GC challenge checker banner and used that HTML code (with appropriate modifications) on my Challenge cache listing pages.

Unless I missed some obvious reference to this banner information, it might be wise for Groundspeak and/or Project-GC to make this information more easily available.

Choose the appropriate checker and click on the Link-button:

From PGC's FAQ page:

How do I link to a challenge checker?

Project-GC provides three different ways to link to a challenge checker. You can find them all from the checker page by clicking the Link button. From there you will see both how they appear on the cache page, and the HTML you need to copy/paste into your cache description. These three variants are the only variants that are approved to use. We strongly suggest that you use the last image-link.

Thanks. My fault for zipping through the FAQ page too quickly. (I did a search for "banner.")

Even this FAQ answer had me momentarily confused, though. I went to Project-GC's Challenge Checkers page and searched for both "link" and "banner" and came up empty. Then it dawned upon me that I might have to click on one of the "Use Checker" buttons to view a specific challenge checker, and there was the "Link..." button.

On a similar topic, on link option three, it can show a check, a red circle with a line, or nothing. What are the rules behind this? I realize once you have run the checker, the obvious meaning, but before it has ever been run by me and still on the cache page. Someone suggested it is telling you in advance that you qualify. I don't believe that is true.

That won't work. Checkers are unique to a particular Challenge Cache. At a minimum you need to use the Clone tag functionality and then use the checker that is tied to your Challenge Cache's GC Code.

EDIT: I guess it depends on what the "appropriate modifications" were.
