Awww thank you!! We waymark in fits and starts as life happens (we are currently back WMing) but we have had a GREAT time with this hobby!! Even the hubby has come to like it!

 

The best part of Waymarking for us is perpetuating history and finding those unique things out about a place -- the odder the better!! What other hobby would have put us at a boarded-up orange-shaped juice stand in Fontana CA on Rte 66, where the owner came over to tell us of how his mother opened the stand to sell OJ when the family's grapevines failed? She saw the potential of the road when her husband didn't. Their son (now over 90) worked the stand (and later her landmark diner) as an 11year old, instead of working on the grapevines with his dad. He is rebuilding the diner after a recent fire. MAGICAL!!

 

Waymarking has changed the way we all look at the world, and it has expanded the possibilities for fun and adventure on otherwise boring car rides

 

We appreciate the hard work of the reviewers, posters, and category officers who put so much into the hobby. Without their efforts, we would not have reached this milestone!
