Pennsylvania "Woodsy Owl Weekend" - CITO Event?

Folks,

I received an email from Eric Rensel from Parker Dam State Park. Here's their message. If anyone in the area wishes to sponsor an event there for Cache In Trash Out Day, it'd be a neat partnership. The message is below:

--------

Parker Dam State Park sponsors an annual clean up day and offers free camping to those who lend a hand - locally known as "Woodsy Owl Weekend." This happens to be on the weekend of April 26, 2003 - same day as many of the Cache In, Trash Out plans. Parker Dam also hosts a geocache site, Grizz1, in a unique tornado blow-down area and has been visited by numerous geocachers.

If you could advertise this cooperative event we would offer your geocachers the same free camping on the weekend of April 25 - 26 (check in Friday evening, check out Sunday afternoon) in return for a clean up effort.

LOL....If Parker Dam State Park is in South East Pa, then New JERSEY must be part of our eastern border and Pa really does have Ocean Beaches.....LOL

Parker Dam is about 30 minutes west of State College...Sounds like a nice weekend, I think I am commited to Poe Valley Clean-up that weekend.

There is nothing like a Packrat who is a geocacher.

I've found Grizz1 and the park is pretty neat. Pity we central PAers have committed to Poe Valley... Perhaps out of goodwill we should arrange for another clean-up at a later date???
