Converting Html To Markdown

Does anyone know how to change a link I created in a log to the new Markdown? I want to change it but don't want a million "This log was edited by" additions at the end of my log. One would be OK but if I don't get it right the first time there could be a long list of them. Here is what it now looks like: <a href="http://articles.mcall.com/1991-05-27/news/2797216_1_memorial-day-monument-cemeteries">link</a> What do I have to do? I went to the Markdown Deep-Try It page from the announcements forum but I'm still unclear what to type in. If anyone has some help I would appreciate it.

I feel bad for those cachers who had really awesome signatures designed in HTML. Now they look like crap. :(

Since a bunch of weeks this sentence is not rendered anylonger.

Give this a try:
