+rustescal
I have tried multiple times to download and run the software that allows the Geocach's to be downloaded from the website to my Magellan Explorist 110. Has anyone had this problem or know a solution? the .dll files download but there is no .exe file to run the program. Quote Link to comment

Has anyone had this problem or know a solution? the .dll files download but there is no .exe file to run the program. If you're trying to install Magellan software (Communicator?), contact them. The user manual has instructions for "Drag n' Drop" without special software (see page 12). http://support.magellangps.com/support/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=viewdownload&downloaditemid=322&nav=0,18,24,374 It's best to get familiar with how to do that. Here's more info on folders for files if you'll use Pocket Queries: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=335708&view=findpost&p=5545591 The specs on the 110 say it holds 500 "Waypoints". Check on the Geocache limit. I don't have that device. Edited November 15, 2015 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I am moving this thread from the Geocaching.com Website Bug Reports and Feature Discussions forum to the GPS forum. Quote Link to comment
+rustescal
I am trying to download and run the Magellan Communicator. I have tried switching to Firefox instead of IE as recommended but it still won't run. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
Strong advice: forget about plugins. Since you're a premium member, you can order up a pocket query at https://www.geocaching.com/pocket/ A few minutes after you schedule it to run, there'll be a GPX or a ZIP file available to download. Plug your GPS into your computer and wait for it to show up as a USB disk drive. Copy the GPX (or the .gpx files after unzipping) to the geocaching folder on the GPS (I don't recall the exact path, but you can explore it just like you do a USB thumb drive) do a safe eject/unmount, and you're done. The various plugins are, IMO, more trouble than they're worth. The slowest part of the above is waiting for the GPS to boot while it ingests the new points. Quote Link to comment
