+Lineman101
Good morning. When I click on my new pocket querie my Windows 10 computer asked me what to open it with. I pick Easy GPS. It opens to a map with a thousand caches on it. Is there a way to do this that will not unzip the file so I can drag and drop to my GPS? Thanks for any help. Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
Is there a way to do this that will not unzip the file so I can drag and drop to my GPS? Thanks for any help. For a Garmin, plug it into a USB port, wait for the PC to recognize it. Right-click your Pocket Query, select "Extract All", and you get two GPX files (one is caches, other has parking coords, if any). Copy both to /GARMIN/GPX on the Garmin device. This in fact unzips the Pocket Query, but without special software. Edited August 22, 2015 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

Only to how do you want to open it which is with Easy GPS. It opens unzipped on the Easy GPS page showing a thousand caches. Any other ideas? Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
+GeoTrekker26
Strange that you don't have the contextual menus. Try double clicking the ZIP file. Quote Link to comment
+Graculus
Right click the zip file and you should see an option - "Open with Windows Explorer". That will show you the two files within the PQ. Does the file name end with "ZIP", or "GPX"? If GPX, that might explain what is happening. The only program you've installed that may open a GPX is "Easy GPS". If you'd like to allow Windows to unzip files, and another program is set as the default, you can change that, using this info. If you don't need Easy GPS, delete it, and that should automatically restore the right-click and double-click Windows Unzip function. Good luck! Thanks for the help but nothing worked until I downloaded a program called Zip Opener. Works great but I just have to rename the files to GPX for the E trex to accept them. Thanks for all the help.
