Cache description Images

I'm struggling to get photos on my cache description page; I'm just getting a tiny postage stamp picture.

I've uploaded loads of photos in the past without a problem and wonder if something has changed.

I've uploaded the photo to my cache description and the URL for it is https://d1u1p2xjjiah...3d05202ae_l.jpg

ie not an http prefix, it appears in the description but is tiny and I have tried inserting /large/ but without success!

Any help much appreciated.

Happy caching.

In the upper right corner of the cache page is a block of Admin Tools. Click "Upload Images", and you get the "Upload a Geocache Image" page. Browse and upload a decent-sized photo (but if more than 800x600 pixels, it tends to get changed to that size by the server). Once it's uploaded and on screen, click on that image. It appears in its own screen. Copy the entire web address, "[something].jpg". That's what you will add to your page.

If you uploaded it already, go to the "Gallery", left-click the thumbnail and the larger picture pops up. Right-click that image, select "Properties", and copy the "Address (URL)". Leave the URL prefix as is, whether "https", or "http".

Here's a basic HTML tag that you may add to your cache description, as an example. But use the copied image URL "[something].jpg" rather than this one:

Many thanks, it's working a treat; I still don't know what I was doing wrong before. Trouble is it's 6 months since I last published a cache and the grey matter hadn't remembered all the little tricks of the trade!

Thanks again for your help, happy caching!

Awesome! This particular thing changes at times. I try to keep up with the new way. :anicute:
