+dukeofurl01 Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 So, I fired up the Android client on my tablet last night, and was looking at caches near my area, and about 1 out of 100 (of traditionals and puzzles) had a different icon, those odd ones were the regular symbol, inside a 16 point star. I could not find anything these caches have in common, so what does this mean? Quote Link to comment

knowschad Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 The app got updated, and is now called Geocaching Backwoods (and the "beginner's app" is now the Geocaching app). I didn't see any release notes, but perhaps that is one of the changes. (the app only seems to be called that on the Google Store, not on the phone, by the way) Quote Link to comment

They're just premium member caches, and I learned that the Android client has different icons for those, but the iPhone client does not - didn't know that. (I'm used to the iPhone version, that's what I use 99% of the time) Quote Link to comment
