+KatnissRue
I am placing a cache series of six caches at the end of this month and have gotten permission for five of the six. The sixth one was going to go in an out-of-the-way cemetery on a dead end road, but the problem is, I can't figure out how to get permission for it. I've talked to the city of the nearest town in the county, and they said to ask the library for records, and when I asked the library, they said to ask the city council. I've even gone to a local funeral home to ask if they know who might be the person to get permission from. No one seems to know, and as far as I can tell, there's not a "Cemetery Director" around here to ask. What would you guys suggest me doing? The cemetery is here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Star+Cemetery/@38.2306652,-95.6019918,13z/data=!4m5!1m2!2m1!1sstar+cemetery+kansas!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0xa4941e1bb7e5307b Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
I would probably try a County Department/Office. Somebody probably has to pay taxes, or be listed as a non profit/charity. Quote Link to comment

+Gitchee-Gummee
Out-of-way, dead-end road... I'd start with the Township or Parish office for that area. Might try the taxes registry usually held by the County Clerk. Also a plat book -- there should be a plat registry with the same office. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
Here in Ontario (Canada), cemetaries usually belong to a particular church or diocese. There is often contact information on a sign on the gate/fence. Or perhaps a central cemetary organization. B. Quote Link to comment
