Retrieving Trackable's lost 'secret codes'

So, a friend of mine wants to create a new, replacement tag for a TB of his, that was lost. The problem is, he cannot find the ‘secret tracking code’ that each TB needs. Without it, he can’t make the copy tag to send back out. Is there any way to get this logging code back? Or is there no hope for this lost little TB?

If he owns the TB, that code is always available to him, right on the TB page. It (that number) is never lost to him.

Perhaps a GS Lackey or possibly one particular moderator could also see it, nobody else.

BTW, why are you asking? Third-party communication is poor, at best.

So the logging code would be on the page for them? Where would it be?

In response to your question, my friend is actually recovering from a surgery, and her husband is trying to find the code. He isn't a cacher, and he's not sure where they might have put the copy of the code. They live pretty far away, and i offered to help recreate the tag. The TB disappeared near me, so i was actually going to recreate it and put it back out. Sorry for the confusion, I just left out that background info.

The code on HER TB page, will be located on the right side, beneath Trackable Options and above Actions.

It will be preceded by "Tracking Number: ".

Not to be confused with the "Reference number", which is on the left side of the page.

Edit: changed HIS to HER. :)
