  1. This is just a little thing, but it is something i would like. For the 'Geocaches' tab on a profile page, you can click on "All Geocache Finds" and "All Geocache Hides", viewing all geocaches found or hidden (obviously). On the 'Trackables' tab, a lot of times i find myself wishing I could do the same, viewing all my lists of found or owned trackables all on one screen, rather than categorized by type (travel bugs, FTF coins, cachekinz, etc.). Again, this isnt a big thing, but i would find it helpful.
  2. Yeah, it really isnt hard. Most people really only watch it. But what reasons are there for someone to adopt it out?
  3. Right, but what are some reasons why someone would want to adopt it out?
  4. What would be the benefits of adopting out a trackable? What can the other cacher do that the 'retiring' cacher cant or wont be able to?
  5. So, I was just wondering, as i am still gaining momentum after beginning caching, about Wherigo players. I don't want to buy a new gps to use to play on it, and i don't really want to use a smart phone, either. So I was wondering, is there anything out there that is specifically for Wherigo? A device made just for playing it? For example, like how the Geomate Jr GPS is just for traditional geocaches?
  6. YES!!! Making the GPX file finally worked. Thank you so much for all of your help. Im not extremely tech savvy, i didnt even know about formatting the card until yesterday. So thank you again! I was starting to worry something was wrong/faulty.
  7. As gitchee gummee says both files from the unzipped pq must be placed in the folder named garmin/gpx on the sd card. If the folder does not exist you must create it. Oh I didnt understand this before. So, just to verify, on the micro sd card, I put a folder called "garmin" and put the files in it? Only one folder, with both files from the unzipped pq?
  8. Yes i unzipped it. So when i turn on the map or list of geocaches, it only lists the ones saved on the garmin (not the card) for my area. Would i have to go to the area that the other pocket queries cover in order for it to show them on the device? Or is it supposed to show all geocaches, on the system and the card, at the same time?
  9. How will the etrex access the microsd card? Because i now have both the garmin and the card, and i put a pocket query on the card and it didnt show up. Is there some kind of setting i need to change...?
  10. So the logging code would be on the page for them? Where would it be? In response to your question, my friend is actually recovering from a surgery, and her husband is trying to find the code. He isn't a cacher, and he's not sure where they might have put the copy of the code. They live pretty far away, and i offered to help recreate the tag. The TB disappeared near me, so i was actually going to recreate it and put it back out. Sorry for the confusion, I just left out that background info.
  11. So, a friend of mine wants to create a new, replacement tag for a TB of his, that was lost. The problem is, he cannot find the ‘secret tracking code’ that each TB needs. Without it, he can’t make the copy tag to send back out. Is there any way to get this logging code back? Or is there no hope for this lost little TB?
  12. Ok i have a new question. With this gps, it has an expandable memory via microSD card. Does it matter how much memory is on the card? Or can it only take so much? For example; If i bought a 32gb microSD card and filled it with pocket queries, would it not be able to process all 32gb?
  13. Would a Garmin Extrex 20 be a good decision for a gps to buy? Also, would it be as simple to load Pocket queries onto it as the extrex 10? Thanks
  14. Ok, I have just decided that i will probably buy the garmin extrex 10, so that i can go paperless geocaching. Before i make my decision to buy it, i want to know: HOW specifically do I load the .gpx files onto it? Do i have to use GSAK? Or is there something simpler i could use? (because GSAK doesnt really like my computer much...it keeps crashing) Would EasyGPS work? For those who want to know, I am willing to become a premium member in order to access the .gpx pocket guery files onto it. Thanks for your time and help!
  15. Hi I am still getting into caching and i found out that i could use a palm to go paperless geocaching. I would love to have all of the cache info on an electronic with me. I already have a gps, so i dont want to buy a fancy new one with paperless, i'm fine with having to bring two electronics around with me. So, I found a m500 on ebay, but before i buy it, i want to be sure that it will work right for me. So my question is, how do i download Cachemate (or just the cache info in general) onto a palm m500? Do i have to use GSAK? (Because that program doesnt like me very much).
