Accidentally 'Dropped' TB

Hi all,

 

I accidentally logged a TB as 'dropped'. i actually DID drop it off today, but i can't log it as such. is there any way i can 'retrieve' it, and then REALLY drop it?

We did the same thing recently. Without the tracking number there is nothing you can do. Maybe contact the owner or post a note on the TB page.

Do you still know the tracking number? If not, you'll have to get it (maybe by contacting the owner). If you have the number, you can "grab" the coin, and then "drop" it in the correct cache.

 

It wouldn't be awful if you can't correct it. No doubt whomever picks it up out of the cache where you placed it will, at least, mention where they actually found it.

I tell folks to hold onto the number until you are sure the logging is all over and done with.

 

Relying solely on an electronic device and the push of a button is a recipe for disaster.

 

We still have the number of every trackable we ever logged (as well as the name). No real reason, just too lazy to pitch them, I guess.

Thanks for the suggestions and advice, all. i happened to find a pic that showed the number, so problem solved! haha, i learned a couple of really good lessons from this evolution...
