+terratin
A question to those that visited the Ape cache in Brazil: What else can you do 'nearby'? I'm trying to justify a flight to Sao Paulo, but cannot really come up with a really good reason for going there, apart from the cache. Sao Paulo itself doesn't seem to be the most interesting place, the beaches nearby seem a bit overcrowded and not very special, and most things to see would require inland flights. Or am I wrong? Please give me some reasons for traveling all the way to Sao Paulo apart from that one cache Quote Link to comment
+ipodguy
There are a bunch of caches in Intervales. Check the map. Also, there is a lodge in Intervales that you can stay at as well. I haven't done the APE cache, but I did some research for a future trip. Quote Link to comment
+terratin
Yes, there are caches in Intervales. I noticed that. But still this would only be a 2-3 days stay there. Are there other things to do 'nearby' that are worth the whole trip? Nice tropical beaches (not inner city beaches), other sights, great landscapes... those things. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
I wonder if they've fixed up the runway. They'd found out it was too short and slippery at times. Quote Link to comment
^up
If you can't see the thousands of reasons to go to Brazil, don't go to Brazil. Quote Link to comment
+terratin
Well, to be honest I never thought about going to Brazil. Lets just say it looks like a very short-term possibility might come up. But it's too much of a trip to just flow such a huge distance for a cache. Quote Link to comment
+Wintz50
Well, to be honest I never thought about going to Brazil. Lets just say it looks like a very short-term possibility might come up. But it's too much of a trip to just flow such a huge distance for a cache. I flew from West Virginia for the sole purpose of finding the ape cache. We stayed at intervales for 3 days then drove to the coast and worked our way back up the coast to Say Paulo. Plenty of things to see and do. I can't wait to take another trip back down there. +DragonsWest
There's a world cup coming up... And if you're not into that sort of thing you can always join the riots. Quote Link to comment
