yxza
Hello, just found iGeoKnife and thought it would be a nice addition to my iPhone. I add the GSAK .db3 file to iGeoKnife in iTunes/File Sharing and it turns up on the iPhone. But when I say "Open" the app just thinks for a while and zero caches are loaded. Am I missing something obvious? Regards YXZA Quote Link to comment
Lieblweb
Never heard of iGeoknife before....interesting. Sorry I can't answer your question, but I will be watching this thread to learn more about it. Quote Link to comment
yxza
Just upping your post statistics? The strange thing is it's working on my iPad II, but the iPhone 4S is just ignoring both the db3 and the gpx files. No caches seem to be found and loaded. Hmmmm? +Walts Hunting
I use it on my iPad but don't use iTunes. I email a gpx file and when I click on it I get a "What program to load it with" and then touch iGeoKnife it loads Quote Link to comment
Markwell
Since this is a GSAK question, wouldn't it be better done at the GSAK forum on GSAK.net? Quote Link to comment
Walts Hunting
actually it isn't a GSAK question. It is about iPhone interface with iGeoknife. What Should happen and does on mine is when touch the file a dialog box comes up asking me what to use to open it and I select iGeoKnife and it loads. What happens when you first touch the file icon? the3gmen
I don't use iGeoKnife but I do use GDAK which used the .db3 files also. When I first tried transferring the file to my tablet I had trouble too. It turned out that before you transfer the db3 file you need to either close GSAK or at least make sure you aren't transferring the db3 file of the active database. I hope this helps.
