Deleting Logs / Maintaining Find

I'm new as a cache owner so I'm not sure how to delete a log entry. From reading other posts, it appears that if I do delete a log entry, it deprives the person from showing the find.

 

My problem is this. I don't want to deprive the finder of his legitimate find, but his log entry goes into great detail about his woes in locating the cache - some of it the fault of workers who had removed it but then brought it back. However the finder virtually describes the cache container and since it's a "hide in plain sight" container, the hide is almost completely given away.

Contact the geocacher who wrote that log and ask him to remove the spoiler details. He can do it via an edit log.

People don't change unless it effects them. If the site allows them to keep their stat regardless of what they posted and you deleting it, you'll see people logging caches they never found.

 

Just ask them to edit their log. If they won't, then decide how tough you want to be. If you would prefer to avoid the confrontation talk to your local reviewer for advice.

Like MAntunes said, contact the logger and ask him to edit his log. If he doesn't edit it in a day or two, delete it. He can post a new "found" log, without the spoilers. It might mess up his find order, but not much you can do about that.

I would email and ask nicely if he could remove the spoilers. If he doesnt you can encrypt the log. I wouldnt go do far as deletion unless hes being really non responsive and this is a very clever hide.
