GSAK and Geoccching API question

Recommended Posts

After I installed GSAK and downloaded a few LOC. files I got this Geocaching.com api error message.

"Cache download limit has been exceeded." What did I do? What does it mean? How do I fix it? I can't find any info in the Help section.

It appears you are a basic member. Basic members can only retrieve a limited amount of caches from the site through the API.

You should have access again 24 hours when you get your allowed limit for the next day.

I believe basic members get three a day. Premium 6,000.

Premium members also get 10,000 a day when using the "Light" data format rather than the "Full details" option that gives 6,000.

Then throw in 5,000 a day from PQ's and in 8 days you could have all 120,000 in CA. although I'm not sure why you would want to.

So I guess we are saying the premium membership is a pretty good hint.

Well, you got to do something to fill up that nice new Oregon 650t.
