+Mineral2
Now that the new Oregon 600 series is hitting stores, I'm wondering if anyone here has bought one or had the chance to try one out in the field. How does it compare with the 450 series? Is it worth an upgrade? Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
There's a pretty lengthy thread, with the last few pages of reviews of the series here. Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
Yes, I seemed to have stumbled upon it after posting this one. I was caught off-guard because it was actually posted when the new series was announced and the first many comments below were about the feature set rather than real-world usage. I've found the more recent additions to that discussion. I'm not asking for a discussion on how to use certain features or how to set up the GPS unit, but rather some observations about the pros and cons of this series. It's an attractive unit for anyone buying their first GPS or upgrading from an eTrex or a much older GPSr. But what about for those of us with the Oregon 450 or 550 series units? I'm wondering if it's really worth the upgrade. Edited May 12, 2013 by mineral2 Quote Link to comment
