+jrobinson817
Hey everyone, I have been geocaching for about 3 weeks now and am totally hooked. I will be getting a premium membership when I can to help support this fantastic hobby. I'm looking for friends on this site that we could send emails to each other and talk about geocaching. I feel like a loner since most people I talk to about caching think I'm nuts ! Add me as a friend if you are intrested. It would be cool to get a group of talkative catchers together to talk about our hobby! Looking forward to receiving your friend requests! Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
I looked at your Finds and it appears you're in California. Your best bet is to go along to a local geocaching event and meet your local cachers In Real Life - That's how most of the "geocaching socialising" starts off. You could also post in the Groundspeak regional forum: West and Southwest US forum. Also, if you use facebook, there is likely to be a regional geocaching group for your area: I just started to type 'California geocach...' into the fb Search and several groups popped up. +Gitchee-Gummee
My best suggestion would be to attend an Event. Guessing that you are from/near to Anaheim. From what I see this Event, http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC45PGM , near West Covina is the nearest, soonest happening. Seems strange (to me) as in Michigan there are "Meet & Greet" Events nearly every weekend in the more metro areas. I just don't see any in the map of the Anaheim area. Quote Link to comment
+neonride93
I am surprised there isn't an organized affiliation - at least not one that is easily found. When I type California Geocaching Association Wisconsin is the second result Way to go my WGA! Quote Link to comment
+redwoodkestrel
In California there tend to be regional geocaching groups - like the GBA (Geocachers of the Bay Area). I don't know about the southern California groups, but it looks like there's a 4x4 geocaching group down there: link I agree, finding a regional forum and attending events are a great way to meet geocaching friends!
