MamaManson
I found a wooden coin in a cache. On the coin is Baja Buzzard Playas De Tijuana, Mexico (back) Vietnam Veteran 1967-69 geocaching.com u.s. navy seawolves (front) there is no tracking number. What should I do now?? +NOSNOW
It sound more like a personal sig item (a wooden nickel). If it was a geocoin it would have "trackabel at geocaching.com" somewhere on it. So it should be treated like SWAG. Quote Link to comment
+Droo
Swag should be traded for with something of equal or greater value. Geocoins should only be moved (after logging them out of the cache then logging the drop when you place it in another one - see How to Log a geocoin for more details), no trading required. But it gets confusing with signature items or personal coins and such... so look for the "trackable at geocaching.com" label to be sure. Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
There will be little guessing when you do locate a geocoin. It will say on it somewhere "Trackable at geocaching.com (or Groundspeak.com)"; it will be weighty; I do not believe any have been made of wood (could be wrong on that note); it will usually be intricately designed, most often quite beautifully. Have a look at some of these . Quote Link to comment
