Hello. I downloaded the Souvenir for Int'l Earthcache Day 2012 on my iPad. How can I add it to my Souvenir list in my profile page?

You can't. The subject of no Souvenir for Int'l Earthcache Day 2012 has been a hot topic in the EarthCache forum here.

I hadn't followed that thread but it sounds like the complaint was that a souvenir for International Earthcache Day 2012 wasn't even created, which makes me wonder what the OP downloaded.

In the general case, Souvenirs are not "downloaded". When someone has met the criteria for a souvenir the system automatically "awards" the souvenir and it will appear in the users profile (and in a souvenirs section if using one of he official mobile apps).

I'm guessing you downloaded the artwork that was posted about in this thread:

There is no Souvenir available this year, but we are working on having one available for next year.

If you log an EarthCache on EarthCache Day, or attend one of the events listed above, feel free to use this art in your geocaching profile (but please don't use it in other ways, like stickers, etc.) - https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/74805_291891504248439_553530430_n.jpg

Best wishes, and have a great weekend!

I'm sure that is it. I downloaded that image to my EC's that were logged that day. I think quite a few of us logged EC's that day. Maybe it was a better turn-out than expected? :)

You could add it to your public profile page if you upload it to a web assessable location (i.e. photobucket) but the Souvenirs tab is not editable so it won't show up there.

I suppose you could print it, along with other souvenirs you've acquired and photos taken while out geocaching and put them in a photo album binder (does anybody do this?). You could even up put them up on your wall. Something like this does have a precedent. I don't know if it's still common but amateur radio operators used to exchange QSL cards between other radio operators after they've had a long distance conversation. QSL cards are a custom postcard size card that had the radio operators call sign, location, and often some artwork associated with the location. Since one of the aspects of amateur radio involves calling long distance radio stations (called CQ DX) many radio operators would try to collect QSL cards from around the world and there even CQ contests where operators try to make contact with as many long distance stations as possible during the contest period. In a way, souvenirs are very much like those QSL cards.

It's not an actual souvenir. Souvenirs are automatically added to your page when you meet the requirements. Such as finding cache in the province of Alberta, Canada.(one for the province aqnd one for the country) logging a find on international geocaching day, or even attending certain mega events. Unfortunately they did not release a souvenir, just some artwork which is what you downloaded.
