sleepnsurf Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Are TomTom's the best GPS around - bunch of my friends swear by it but I thought will just ask around if there are other good brands Quote
RuideAlmeida Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Maybe you can ask them, how many Tom Tom's are good outdoor GPSr Quote
+Walts Hunting Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Since he has never found a cache I suspect he came here for general opinion but this is really the wrong forum for that. Generally speaking the driving GPS's are difficult to use for caching. Quote
+dakboy Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Are TomTom's the best GPS around - bunch of my friends swear by it but I thought will just ask around if there are other good brands There is no single answer to "what is the best GPS". You need to decide what you're using your GPS for and what features you need first. Ask your friends how well those TomToms work for kayaking. Quote
+cboscari Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 They are good for driving, but not for much else. Was this for geocaching? Quote
+Walts Hunting Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Since this topic came up the iPhone came out and switched from Google maps to a new one and the cries of outrage have been heard worldwide. The now maps are the ones used on the TomTom. Quote
