No, it doesn't. It's a great place to store info about how you solved a puzzle or what the correct coords are. Only you can see the note.

And as I just found out today, I can access that note from within Locus and it automatically turns co-ords into waypoints so it's great for storing puzzle solutions! I can ditch my old notepad file now

 

It amazes me though that this is yet another feature that's not supported by the official app on Android. It got me started, but I wish I hadn't paid for it, there are so many better free and paid options available.
