Log a trackable if you find one

Maybe an email should be sent to members to remind them about the procedure when finding a trackable. If you take a trackable log it! Even if you don't place it in another cache for a long while, at least other geocachers are aware that it's not there to be found. You log your visit on the sight anyway and it's only one extra click of the mouse. Come on guys. We all do it for the same reasons. Let's keep it fun.

I know why it was moved but im wondering should it have been moved. A lot of people read the forums, but how many know how to log a trackable or even what one is. Most new people probably dont come down here to the TB forum and just go to the first 4. Maybe if was kept in the Geocaching Topics are people who dont know would have found out.

Most cachers don't read the forums at all.

gc.com has on occasion addressed TB logging in their newsletter. How many sign up for that?

Put logging instructions on your TB and then don't assume an email could do any better.

I have actually started putting a note on all my cache pages directing new cachers to a link on how to log trackables. I figure maybe we can educate people on the fly. Copy and paste it to your pages if you like. Be sure to check the html box above the cache description if you do. Cheers!

If you have found a trackable item and are not sure how to log it, follow this link and read the information on how this works. Please make an effort to properly log travel bugs or geocoins.<br />

you could start a Facebook page about trackables.

i'll be the first to join.

actually there is already at least one, but it's kind of inactive.

you could also join existing FB groups there are TONS of them.

i've personally joined about 100.

they're very open to ANY geocaching related topic..

i'll help if i can
