Deleting a 'found' log

Does anyone know if deleting a found log also removes if from your found count.

Today I revisited a cache I previously found to drop off a TB, whilst I was there I picked up a geocoin. I logged it as a find rather than writing a note, now I'm thinking it would have been better to write a note or am I correct to log it as a find because I removed a trackable. I have logged this cache as a find previously.

The accepted way to do this is to log as a "find" only once (the first time you visit the cache)

 

All follow up visits should be logged with a "note"

Your found count will now include 2 finds for that cache, the 'correct' thing to do would be delete the second found log and write a note which will then give you the correct find count.

So would I be able to delete the found log then do it as a note instead?

Or just edit the second found log and change it to a note.

If you go in to the recent Found log, you get the option to edit. Edit it to a Note.

If it doesn't work, select and copy your text, delete to log, log a Note, and paste in the text! Easy.

 

(It may take Groundspeaks servers a 'little while' to reduce your Found count down!)

IF you keep a record of your finds with GSAK there are more things to be done with your finds...

We can cross that bridge if you do use GSAK.

Edited my log to a note and it has taken the last find back off my count. Thanks for your help everyone.
