+runner1701
I just started caching a few weeks ago and am putting together a caching kit. I'd be interested to hear from others (especially those with lots of finds) as to what is needed in a kit. What are those must-have items? Quote Link to comment
+Mushroom420
Im a noob, but we always carry (in a crown royal bag) extra pens, our purchased and traded for swag, batteries...and gps of course. We keep bug spray in the car too. A notepad could be useful as well...for 'discovering' travel bugs maybe. Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
This question seems to be popping up a lot lately. In mine-GPSr, Flashlight, batteries for both, phone, first aid kit, bug spray, gloves, any TB's geocoins or SWAG I have, note pad, Pencil, marker, and pen. Extra logs, muggle cards, small baggies. Camera. I have a couple micro's and usually a keyholder, or something large for if I get sudden inspiration. Quote Link to comment

Add in a couple of garbage bags for CITO, a couple of small film/pill bottles for replacements, and hand cleaner/sanitizer/latex gloves. One of yesterday's finds was surrounding by mouse droppings... you just never know! Quote Link to comment

+popokiiti
As the weather gets warmer, shorts become the norm and thorny things proliferate - from recent experience add sanitizing wipes and Band-Aids! Or as in the case of Popoki Nui, throw a towel on the car seat to soak up the blood - caused by coming into contact with thorn type protrusions on a log by a playground. Generally though, pens (plenty), batteries (plenty), small swag, cell phone, camera, small purse with ID, gloves, hiking sticks. Quote Link to comment
+Lady Loki
We have a backpack with a notepad, pens, wallet, cell phone, GPS, batteries, swag, hand sanitizer, and we usually take at least two bottles of drinks with us. Oh, and a small first-aid kit and a camera (an old one so we don't have to worry so much about if it gets damaged). I've been using it for a purse, as well, so it's accumulated a lot of stuff, but there's still two granola bars in there from our last caching expedition. (The hike was approximately 4 miles, round trip, and we've got a 4 year old, so water and snacks were a must. ) Quote Link to comment
+scrapcat
I have a caching bag (pretty much the same items mentioned above). To keep my bag from getting too heavy, I also have a caching toolkit in my trunk (extra bags - garbage and sandwich, duct tape, electric tape, wires, pliers, fresh log sheets, extra gloves, first aid kit, bug spray, park maps). Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment
