+Geobug22 and Kids
I just upgraded to the explorsit GC and have run a pocket query and when I transfer the files and search for a cache on the GC unit my old cache finds are not highlighted as finds on the unit. Any suggestions on getting my finds to be labeled as finds on the explorist display? thanks Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I suggest to not have your previous finds in your PQs. Not sure why you need to see them. Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
Starbrand is right -- old or stale data is bad data. Anything over a week or two old is outdated. Best just to dump the old and do new -- it doesn't cost you any more. Was this action a result of a Pocket Query? If so, did it upload field notes? I believe that field notes uploading removes that cache data from the unit (ours does). If you feel that you need those old finds in your unit, for future Pocket Queries, include caches "I have found". Personally, we do not include found caches as it creates 'clutter'. +Socal ZukiCachers
Just so you know - there is no way for the GC to know which caches have been found and which caches have not been found by you; unless they have been marked as found on that GPS, so as suggested the best course of action is to limited the PQs to not include your finds. This is also a good practice because after you've found several hundred caches it just becomes a mess to have them showing up all the time... David Quote Link to comment
