+pdxmarathonman
A new cache with the name: X Marks the Spot. Again! has been placed and shows up as my nearest unfound cache. For whatever reason, the owners created a new cache when they moved it a few feet. That's not my issue. When I look at my nearest caches by zip code, the original X Marks the Spot cache is not on my list of found caches. I think it may be due to the initial 10-15 characters in the name matching perfectly and the sort engine thinking it already listed it (as the un-found Again cache). When I list My Cache page, the found cache is in my list. A minor bug, but the result was that I thought the owner's of the cache had simply renamed it and deleted all the previous logs (since the orginal wasn't showing up). Link to comment
+Markwell
I presume this is the cache you're talking about as the new one, and this is the old one. Hmmm... old one's archived. Won't show up on your closest caches list. Markwell Chicago Geocachers Link to comment
iryshe
Like Markwell said, the old cache was archived. Archived caches do not show up on the results page. Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location Link to comment
+pdxmarathonman
Yes I see my gaffe. The handful of "lined out" caches on my closest list are simply temporarily unavailable rather than archived. The temps show up of course, the archived don't. Never mind... Link to comment
