Six point
Heading down to Cuba for a winter getaway vacation and was wondering if someone might recommend a good set of free downloadable maps for the area? Thanks PK Quote Link to comment

+t4e
before anything else check if you are allowed to bring a GPS into the country, they've been banned for a long time maybe something has changed Quote Link to comment
Six point
Thanks for the heads up ,t4e. Did a little digging into Cuban Customs requirements and don't think I'll risk losing my 60 CSX.Just have to do my caching with map, cache page and pictures I guess. Thanks again PK Quote Link to comment

I don't believe any of the caches were placed using a GPSr, also due to the GPSr ban. Quote Link to comment
+Mr. Wilson & a Mt. Goat
We`re going to Cuba in 2 weeks. When will you be there? Don`t plan on losing my GPS, so I`m sticking to map and compass. Quote Link to comment
+Team Batpony
I do not endorse illegal activity, but a well-placed laptop in your carry on will easily disguise a GPSr. Quote Link to comment

Especially if the police spot you with a device you've illegally smuggled past customs and arrest you. Cuba is not known for its human rights record. Quote Link to comment

I believe that the law is not about USING the GPSrs in Cuba, but BRINGING them through customs. I could be wrong, but for all the police know, I could've borrowed the GPS from somebody who obtained it legally, no? Quote Link to comment
